Cook    Position: Cook Number of job vacancies: 2 Working Hours: 40hrs per week, 5 days a week Wage: $20 per hour Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Group Medical Insurance after 3 months of probation Address: 91 Lonsdale Avenue North Vancouver BC V7M 2E5   Fishworks Restaurant is located at Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver BC and is offering stylish and sustainable seafood plus local & international wines. This Lonsdale restaurant scene is in need of a seafood restaurant that utilizes the bounty of fresh seafood from our unique west coast. Fishworks restaurant features timeless classics as well as contemporary and modern cuisine.   Main duties

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• May clean kitchen and work area
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• May hire and train kitchen staff

Requirements/Education

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety OR 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Supervisory experience is an asset
• English is a mandatory
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Be able to work under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
• Time management and decision-making skills are required
