Job description:
Ø Responsibilities and duties:
§ Coordinate, assign and review the work of clerks to prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
§ Requisition supplies and materials and complete purchase orders
§ Enter financial information into appropriate software programs; Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair work
§ Support the wider finance team; Aid accounting staff with general accounting duties
§ Complete financial reports on a regular basis and provide information to the managing team; Prepare annual reports for properties
§ Manage payroll and company ledgers; Prepare annual budgets; Complete bank reconciliations; Coordinate internal and external audits
§ Verify balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies; Sort financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
§ Record office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget; Process and organize property expenses
§ Manage day-to-day transactions; Post daily receipts; Complete the year-end analysis; Handle accruals and prepayments
§ Encode accounting entries for data processing; Review computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source
§ Answer client inquiries through email or phone; Coordinate with property managers and inspectors
Ø Qualifications:
§ Completion of a college program or courses in bookkeeping, accounting or a related subject is required
§ 3-5 years of accounting experience is required
§ The ability to multi-task and prioritize work
§ An organized and methodical approach to a task
§ The ability to produce accurate financial reports
§ Excellent attention to detail
§ Strong computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc
