Transcontinental Logistics LTD. is looking for Four Permanent, Full time Automotive mechanics who could join with us immediately. The details are given below.
Work Location:  7701 Vantage Way, Delta, BC V4G 1A6, Canada.
Compensation: $25 per hour
Hours per week: 30 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Language of Work: English
 
Job duties and responsibilities
Inspect and identify mechanical problems in diesel automotive vehicles based on thorough evaluation and often by using computerized diagnostic equipment.
Diagnose faults and repair malfunctions in batteries, serpentine belts, emission (PVC) valves, wiper blades, tire services, windshield chip repairs, etc.
Test the diesel motor vehicles and make notes of the problems pre-repair as well as improvements post-repair.
Assess work orders and discuss the scope of work, costing, materials needed, timelines, etc. with client/supervisor.
Complete preventive maintenance such as oil change, replacing oil filter, general engine’s tuning like replacing spark plugs, coils, etc.
Recognize faults on vehicles (engine light, abs light, traction control light etc. on dashboard) with the help of computerized scanner and fix them as needed.
Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems including suspension, engine, drivetrain, exhaust, and cooling systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment as required.
Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness.
Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
Install aftermarket parts including but not limited to lift kits, body kits, suspension kits, air bags, shocks, struts, powered and regular running boards and etc. as required.
Perform four-wheel, front end or rear end alignments on vehicles to ensure the drivability.
Explain to clients/supervisors and file reports of the automotive problems faced and the repairs conducted on the vehicles.
Provide routine support and perform planned maintenance as per manufacture’s recommended schedule.
 
Skill Requirements:
 
Completion of secondary school. 
At least 2-3 years of experience
