Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $19~$21/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 283 Hart St, Coquitlam BC V3K 4B1

Benefits:

• 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay
• Medical and Dental after 3 months of employment
• 5 days of sick leave per year

Job Duties:

• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
• Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, common spaces, and washrooms
• Discuss progress and problems of children in staff meetings

Job requirements:

• Experience: 1~2 years of experience in childcare is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E.A. Certificate
• Language: English
