Position Info:

• Position: Community Services Officer – Social Services
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $21.33~$24.50/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: #124 – 15350 Sequoia Drive, Surrey, BC, V3S 8N5

Job Duties:

• Interview clients to obtain case history and prepare intake reports
• Assist clients in evaluating options and formulating action plans
• Refer clients to other types of social services such as legal, medical, and financial assistance
• Participate in the selection and admission of clients to appropriate programs
• Meet with clients to review their progress and discuss any issues that may have arisen
• Implement and organize the delivery of specific services within the community
• Maintain program statistics for evaluation and research purposes
• Supervise social service support workers and volunteers

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience and/or volunteerism is required.
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
