Job Title: Landscape Labourer

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$21.00/hour for 30-40 hours/week

Vacancies: 03

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible landscape labourer who can handle various physically demanding tasks on construction sites using tools and equipment provided by the company while developing your skills and learn new Fencing and landscaping techniques in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload construction materials, tools and equipment from trucks required to complete Fencing and landscape construction projects
  • Cut grass, fertilize and water lawns, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by supervisor
  • Clean and Prepare construction sites including removing and disposing of debris and waste materials properly to eliminate possible hazards
  • Work safely and in a responsible manner, with eager participation and initiative
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools including drills, jackhammers, shovels etc
  • Construct walkways and patios, walls, fences, decks, posts etc
  • Dig ditches or trenches and perform land clearing activities
  • Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
  • Efficiently complete landscape tasks according to plan, with focus on quality and production

 

Requirements:

  • Education: None
  • Experience: No Experience required but any experience in construction industry will be considered an asset, on the job training will be provided
  • Language: Basic English is a requirement

 

Work conditions:

  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials
  • Perform work quickly and efficiently, demanding excellence
  • Ability to kneel, bend for extended hours
  • Able to perform physically demanding work including the ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold
