Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $19~$22/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 103-2764 Barnet Highway Coquitlam V3B 1B9

Job Duties:

• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
• Organize space, equipment, and materials before activities
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, common spaces, and washrooms
• Prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors on signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
• Plan and implement lesson plan activities and experiences that are developmentally appropriate
• Supervise and cooperate with other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
