Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Education Worker
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $19.00~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: Primary location – 1469 Balfour Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V6H 1X9
                          Secondary location – 3969 West 29th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V6S 1V3

Job Duties:

• Create and develop child-care programs to support and promote entire development of children
• Lead various activities such as reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points to express creativity through different types of activities
• Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
• Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioural difficulties and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Maintain an environment and equipment clean and sanitized for children’s health and safety
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset.
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required.
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
