Metalworking Machine Set-up operator

Job Title: Metalworking Machine Set-up operator (NOC: 9416)

Employer: Tri Province Enterprises 1984 Ltd.

Location:  Moncton, NB E1A 3A5

Wage: $21.00 /hr for 40 hrs per week

Vacancy:  3 vacancies

Terms of employment: Contract and full time

Start Date: as soon as possible

Job Requirements:

Languages

• English or French

Education

• Secondary high school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years

Duties:

·       Build staging or erect scaffolding for heavy metalworking jobs

·       Remove metal pieces from furnace when colour or metal indicates proper forging temperature

·       Position heated or cooled metal pieces on die of pressor other forging machinery

·       Position and adjust dies on anvil of forging machinery

·       Place metal pieces in furnace

·       Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal

·       Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together

·       Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products

·       Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs, Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines

·       Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications

·       Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions

·        Document work completed
