For over 55 years, York Sheet Metal and York Chutes Ltd. have been leaders in HVAC and garbage chute manufacturing in Canada. The family-owned business has served thousands of clients throughout the Downtown Core and the Greater Toronto Area as well as on a Provincial and international level.

York Sheet Metal specializes in design, manufacturing and installation of a vast range of products; including garbage and linen chutes, ventilation systems, compactors, Tri & Bi Sorter Systems, recycling and garbage bins and more.

We are currently looking for a Welder to join the team based out of Woodbridge Ontario.  The Welder will operate welding equipment to weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals to meet client and project requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications

·       Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various processes

·       Operate brazing and soldering equipment

·       Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

·       Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines

·       Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·      Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Welder required;

·      Must be well organized and punctual;

·      Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner;

·      Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
