We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and responsible Home Support Worker/Caregiver to provide care and assistance to an elderly person with a disability in Guelph, Ontario. The successful candidate will support the client with daily living activities while promoting their comfort, well-being, and independence in a safe and respectful home environment.

Work in employer’s/client’s home, Public transportation is available,  Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent

Wage: $22.75/Hour @ 30 – 44 hours per week

Target Audience:
Persons with a disability, Elderly, Females

Education: Secondary (high) School Certificate, College or other courses related in home support, First aid certification is preferred

Work experience: Six months work experience is preferred

Languages: English

Job duties: Administer bedside and personal care, Assist clients in water (i.e. pool), Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Feed or assist in feeding, Change non-sterile dressings, Provide personal care, Provide companionship, Plan therapeutic diets and menus, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
