Job Description
Taka Blueberry Farm Ltd is seeking a dependable and hardworking Farm Worker to assist with the daily operations of our blueberry farm. The successful candidate will support crop production and general farm activities to ensure efficient and productive farm operations.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Plant, cultivate, prune and harvest blueberries
- Assist with weeding, and maintaining blueberry plants
- Sort, pack, and prepare harvested blueberries for storage or transportation
- Inspect crops and report signs of disease, damage, or poor plant condition
- Operate basic farm equipment when needed
- Clean and maintain farm equipment, tools, and work areas
- Assist with general farm maintenance and seasonal preparation for the next growing season
- Follow farm safety procedures and company policies
- Perform other general farm labour duties as required
Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- Previous farm work experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work as part of a team
