Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Wage: $37.00 per hour
Hours: 32–40 hours per week

Work Location: On-site
Schedule: Early morning, evening and shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust transportation routes based on changing road and traffic conditions using GPS, computers and other navigation equipment.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
• Obtain special permits and other required documentation for international transportation routes.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration/cold storage systems and other vehicle equipment.
• Monitor the overall condition and safe operation of the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Maintain accurate records related to transportation activities.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and transportation regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Language: English
• Valid AZ Class Licence
• Valid Class 1 or Class A Driver’s Licence
• Ability to operate straight or articulated trucks.
• Ability to complete required vehicle inspections and maintain transportation records.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings and shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation environment.
