Specific Skills:
Tasks: –
1)Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
2)Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or dietary requirements, as required.
3)Prepare and cook special meals when requested.
4)Ensure the quality, presentation and proper portioning of food before service.
5)Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and kitchen equipment.
6)Order food and kitchen supplies as required. Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation.
7)Clean kitchen and work areas and maintain equipment in a safe and sanitary condition.
8)Assist in planning menus and determining food requirements and portion sizes.
9)Train and assist kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking procedures and safe food-handling practices.
10)Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
