Child Caregiver

Khanh Phuong Phung Nguyen, private household in Bowmanville, Ontario L1C-4A7, is looking for a reliable person to care for our 2 lovely minor daughters in the setting of our home.  The caregiver would:

Supervise and care for our daughters in the setting of our home; Assist and supervise them with dressing, manners and healthy eating habits, instruct them in personal hygiene and social development; Prepare and serve nutritious meals and prepare them for rest periods; Read to them; Keep records of daily activities and tend to emotional well-being; Help one of our daughters with homework;

Bring one daughter from school, organize activities such as games and outings; Prepare craft materials and assist our daughters to use them; Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; Discipline our children according to the methods requested by the parents; Tend to emotional well-being of children; Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; Travel with us on trips and assist with children supervision and housekeeping duties; and assume full responsibility for our household in absence of parents.

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent experience

Children’s Ages: 6 and 8 years old

Security and Safety: Reference required, criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Work location information: Work in employer's/client's home, room and board provided

Work site environment: Non-smoking, scent free       

Credentials: First aid certificate, CPR certificate

Personal Suitability: Judgement, organized, initiative, team-player, flexibility, reliability reading text, excellent written communication, excellent oral communication

Salary: $15.00 per hour; 30 hours per week; mornings, days

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time; Mondays – Fridays from 11:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

Start date: May 1, 2021

Work setting: Employer’s home; Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.  NOTE: This is NOT a condition of employment.
