Farm Worker

JS Orchard is looking for four Farm Workers for their farm located in Summerland, BC. This position is full time with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. This is a temporary position for the duration of 8 months. 

As a Farm Worker, you will be performing the following duties: 

• Planting, weeding, cultivating, harvesting, washing, sorting and packing of field crops and fruits etc.
• Maintain and operate farm machinery and equipment
• Check products for quality and prepare for the market
• Ensuring protection of crops from weeds and pests by taking appropriate actions like spraying pesticides etc.
• Use of fertilizers, detecting diseases and other health problems in crops.
• Write and maintain daily crop progress reports
• Keep all the tools clean and well maintained 
• Perform other farm duties as assigned

Number of positions: 4

What we offer:

• $15.20 per hour 
• 4% vacation pay of the gross salary 
• Part-timers are welcome to apply.

 Requirements:

• No Education is required. 
• No Experience is required.
• No specific language requirement
