1022234 B.C. Limited doing business as Sartor Estate Vineyard is looking for 4 full-time Vineyard Labourers to join our team for the 2022 harvesting season (4 months) in Summerland, British Columbia starting April 1, 2022!

Solvero Wines is a new family owned and operated winery with vineyards located in Garnet Valley, Summerland. We are looking to build a team of motivated, efficient and hard-working people to help us tend and grow our vineyard.  Integrity and honesty in all aspects of viticulture and wine-making is central to our ethos.  We take pride in both protecting and promoting biodiversity of this land. We operate at 25585 Wildhorse Road, Summerland, BC  V0H 1Z3.

Job Duties

As a Vineyard Labourer with our team, you will be responsible for the following duties under the guidance of the vineyard crew supervisor:

• Planting, desuckering, hedging, leaf thinning, cluster thinning, shoot thinning, shoot positioning       
• Vine pruning, cane pulling, tying, leaf pulling, hedging         
• Harvesting         
• General property maintenance including landscape and gardening       
• Ensuring product quality assurance and inventory recording       
• Post pounding and wire work         
• Irrigation installation

Skill Requirements

If you possess the following skills, you will be a great fit as a Vineyard Labourer:

• 1+ years of experience in the vineyard or farming industries       
• Proven ability to operate farm and vineyard equipment safely and efficiently         
• Proven ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of a team         
• Attention to detail and reliability in recording and documenting         
• Physically able to lift heavy items

Salary & Benefits

Wages as a Vineyard Labourer are $19.23 hourly for 40-48 hours per week under a 4-month contract.

Benefits include:

• Vehicle available;         
• Accommodation with cleaning included.

Staff accommodations are available onsite at $200 per month (to be directly deducted).
