Job Duties:
· Coordinate, assign, supervise and review daily tasks and performance of team members as assigned by the Director of Operations
· Create weekly schedules for Guest Services team members
· Act as hands-on coach and leader for Guest Services team members
· Responsible for assisting in hiring, training, promotion and discipline of Guest Services team members while maintaining the standards of service for the resort
· Ensure smooth guest arrival and check out process by following company policies
· Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks
· Work front desk shifts as assigned, checking in and checking out guests in a timely, friendly and professional manner
· Answer reservation or switchboard calls as required
· Contribute to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service with each interaction
· Assist with guest recovery process
· Answer guest inquiries via email or phone in a timely and accurate manner
· Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
· Handle requisition of materials and supplies when needed.
· Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
· Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications
· Attends operations meetings and departmental meetings
· Works closely with Director of Operations, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Maintenance
· Effectively handle guest comments and complaints in person with the ability to identify and rectify all concerns in a timely manner
· Assist in monitoring the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
· Maintain inventory of operational supplies
· Coordinate enhancements programs – ensure timely and accurate delivery
· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
Job Requirements:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Should enjoy challenges and be able to thrive under pressure
· Ability to be flexible with schedules, assignments and additional duties.
· Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality / Tourism / Human Resource Management preferred.
· Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset.
· Goal oriented, driven and passionate about exceeding guests’ expectations.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience:
6 months to 1 year of experience in hospitality.
