Warehouse & Logistics Specialist

Description

We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on, detail-oriented Warehouse & Logistics specialist for our Brampton branch.

Customer Service Representative or Sales Associates experience will be an asset.

The associate will be responsible and not limited to all typical areas of warehousing duties such as receiving, shipping out, inventory count, order placements with the vendors, order processing. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision, ensure compliance to applicable policies and procedures, and contribute to continuous customer satisfaction through timely accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Placing orders with the vendors
• Shipping out of orders
• Stack orders on pallets for line haul drivers and couriers for different delivery areas
• Shrink wrap pallets
• Receiving consignments from overseas vendors and placing them in the right locations
• Maintains required records
• Investigates and follows up with inventory discrepancies
• Conducts inventory counts, researches, and reconciles discrepancies
• Self-directed and reports to the Supervisor
• Ensures warehouse policies and procedures are followed
• Ensures receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner
• Ensures on-time deliveries within order fulfillment and production timelines
• Ensures inventory stock location accuracy, organization, and house keeping.
• Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss
• Sourcing of connectors /components for the factory from within North America region.
• Handling online orders.
• Acknowledging of orders from customers.

Requirements

• Knows and practices common logistics principles
• Knows and practices standard safety practices
• Forklift license is a must
• Utilizes computers to carry out duties and other responsibilities
• Motivated, high-energy personality
• QuickBooks software knowledge is an asset
• Ability to occasionally lift more than 25-50 lbs.

Education

Minimum High School Diploma with 1-2 years working experience in logistics environment.
