Bookkeeper (NOC1311)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time, 40 hrs per week
Job Location: 889 Harbourside Drive 200, North Vancouver, BC V7P 3S1
Dumont and Co’s team of experts have been helping individuals, businesses and organizations achieve financial and personal success. Among other services we provide business valuations, corporate finance and advise on tax planning. We are looking for a bookkeeper to maintain complete sets of books, keep records of accounts, verify the procedures used for recording financial transactions. The main duties include:
• Keep records of all financial transactions and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements.
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax, and other bills.
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
• Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services.
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Personal Suitability: Team player, effective interpersonal skills, reliability, accurate and Organized. Knowledge of mathematical, technical, and critical thinking skills.
Other skills: Good working knowledge of MS excel, MS windows, MS Word, Database software, MS Outlook.
Language: English

Employment requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field
OR
• Completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting)
OR
• Courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.
Work experience required: 2 years to less than 3 years.
Criminal record checks and drug testing will be done upon approval.
