Kuroneko Japanese Bistro is a high quality Sushi restaurant located in Maple ridge, B.C. We are currently looking for a full time cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel as a team player and will work well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Main duties

• Prepare and cook our complete Japanese style dishes on menu
• Make various types of sushi, sashimi, roll sushi, salad and combination sushi
• Develop new menu and special dishes
• Oversee sushi bar/kitchen operations
• Monitor and order supplies as instructed by head chef
• May clean sushi bar/kitchen and work area
• Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food display
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food
• Clean, cut, carve, season, cook and arrange portions of foods
• Uphold and maintain food safety, high standards of sanitation and cleanliness

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Minimum 1 years of cooking experience as a cook
• English is required
