Black frog eatery has been serving the Gas town area and downtown Vancouver for the last 16 years.  For over a decade, we have been the hub for downtowners and those looking for an extraordinary Canadian pub experience.

We are looking for an enthusiast cook who knows how to cook different pub-style food, like chicken wings, Poutin, Yorkies, burgers and other kinds of Salads.  We are looking for a hardworking, team player cook who can keep the pace of a busy downtown pub and doesn’t jeopardize the quality.

Responsibilities:

• Taking orders from the server and preparing food according to customer preference.
• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order within the kitchen area.
• Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of foods
• Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients
• Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns
• Setting up the workstation
• Developing recipes that comply with company policy Communicate with suppliers to maintain sustainable supply and smooth operation.
• To coordinate with the operation manager(s) about new ideas and suggestions for the menu.
• Maintain a clean and sanity kitchen work area.

Qualifications: 

• secondary education or years of relevant experience is required.
• At least one year of experience in pub-style cooking.
• A firm reference is a must.
• Shouldn’t be suspended before for sanitary reasons.
• Ability to work on weekends and flexible longer shift hours.
• Strong communication skills, verbally and written.
• A team player with a multi-tasking personality is highly regarded.
