Old Gate Farm Ltd requires 3 full time Farm Machinery Custom Operators for a combined poultry and custom farm work operation.

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour (To be negotiated)

Vacancies: 3 vacancies

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 45 hours / week

Start date: As soon as possible

Employment conditions: Overtime, Early morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Large workload, Overtime required

Work Location Information: Rural area

Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy, Outdoors

Personal Suitability: Team player

Additional Skills: Maintain work records and logs, Perform general farm duties, Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

Area of Specialization: Agricultural crop service

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Sprayer or duster, Tractor, Seed drill, Fertilizer applicator, Harvesters, Farm truck

Type of Farm Operations: Hay farming, Grain, oil and forage crop

Agricultural Service Contractors Specific Skills: Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting, Negotiate with clients for provision of services

Farm Supervisors Specific Skills: Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, Maintain quality control and production records
