Snow Valley Lodging, Fernie, BC

Our mountainside lodging is 2 km from Fernie Golf and Country Club, and 5 km from Mount Fernie Provincial Park.

The cozy-chic rooms all have en-suite bathrooms, as well as flat-screen TVs, tables, free WiFi, coffeemakers, minifridges and microwaves. Rooms in a rustic annexe include kitchenettes and cable TV.

There's an indoor hot tub, and a BBQ grill deck with mountain views. Complimentary amenities include off-street parking and loaner bikes.

Position Duties:

Snow Valley Lodging is looking to fill two positions as a Housekeeping Room Attendant with candidates who are reliable, trustworthy and who love customer care for our mountain lodging located in Fernie, BC.

The Housekeeping Room Attendant’s duties include:

·  cleaning guest rooms to required standards;

·  sanitizing all hard surfaces; reporting any maintenance deficiencies;

·  vacuuming, making beds, dusting hard surfaces, cleaning kitchens, living rooms, balconies, bathrooms, bedrooms, fireplaces and any other areas of the guest rooms; maintaining housekeeping carts in an organized fashion;

·  acting as a Houseperson when required, which includes the following duties: cleaning common areas such as washrooms, lobbies and pool decks; attending to guest calls; receiving and stocking laundry and amenity deliveries;

·  Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards

·  Working in a health and safety conscious manner;

·  Meeting guest requests in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring the highest level of service and guest experience

·  Provide non-stop team-work with teammates and managers

·  Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined for Snow Valley Lodging

·  Know and follow all safety work procedures included in the Safety Management Program

Qualifications:

·  At least 6 months of related work experience in a hotel or hospitality setting required

·  Physically able to perform all duties and special focus on customer satisfaction

·  English language competency for interaction with guests

·  Experience in a hospitality setting in Canada not mandatory, but preferrable

Education:

·  Minimum of secondary school required

·  Competitive wage: $18 per hour for 30 hours per week

·  5 days of paid sick leave annually (after 3 months probation)

Vaccination status:

Full Covid-19 vaccination scheme required

Extra Requirements:

·  Rotating shifts – availability to work on changing schedules is required

·  Availability to work throughout weekends/holidays required

·  Willing to relocate to Fernie, if applicable
