In-Home Caregiver Needed!

My Elderly mother is looking for a companion and assistance on her daily living. We are looking for friendly, patient and cheerful caregiver providing 1:1 caregiving services in the clients personal residence located at Wolf Ridge Close NW in Edmonton. This is a Full time position from Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week. Overnight caregiving services may also be required on special occasions. Hourly wage will be $19.00/hour.

Responsibilities will be as follows:

• Changing clothing when needed.
• Prepare and serve meals, assist on medications.
• Clean, organize the elderly sleeping quarters.
• Assist on taking bath, minimum 3/weeks.
• Help on recreational activities.
• Put her to bed and always keep company when possible.
• Tidy up the elderly living spaces, bathroom, and bedroom.

Conditions of Employment:

Hourly wage: Full time employment with 40 hour per week.

• Regular workday is from 09:00AM to 05:00PM from Monday to Friday being Saturday and Sunday workday off.
• The employee will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid meal break. And 15 minutes of paid health breaks.
• The employee will be entitled to 10 days paid vacation per year. Which must be confirmed 4 weeks in advanced.
• The employee will be entitled to 6 days paid sick leave per year.
• The employee will be governed under local Alberta statutory and public holidays.
• The employee will be paid $19.00per hour and shall be paid bi-weekly.
• The employee will be paid    $28.50 be excess if 8 hours and 44 hours per week.
• A review will take place annual for incremental raise base of performance and other provincial legislative requirements.
• The employee will be deducted payable prescribe by law including but not limited to Employment Insurance, Income Tax and Canada Pension Plan. This shall be arranged by the employer.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be fully Covid Vaccinated and follow AHS regulations.
• Non-Smoker
• Must be holding valid First Aid Certificate issued by a recognized certifying body.
• Must be holding a valid Caregiver Certificate.
