Job Information:

X&L Kitchen is looking for a full-time, permanent Pastry Cook (NOC 6322) to join our team to prepare and cook delicious pastry for our customers.

Job Description:

• Prepare and cook items according to food health and safety standards
• Setup and organize workstation with all the needed cooking equipment and ingredients needed for the day
• Sanitize and maintain work stations and utensils clean
• Ensure great food presentation before serving to customers
• Supervise and assist other team members of the kitchen staff when needed
• Coordinate schedule and resolve conflicts if there is any between kitchen helpers
• Monitor food inventory and ensure that items are stored properly
• Ensure order is correct and delivered at a timely manner to each guest
• Handle and monitor multiple food orders at once
• Monitor stocks and order supplies when there are shortage

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required
• 3+ years of experience as a pastry cook is required
• Food preparation and pastry related certificate or diploma would be an asset
• Must possess high knowledge and skill of preparing all types of desserts & pastries
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: 10346 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB, Canada

Wage: $16/hr 40hrs/week
