Duration: Full Time
Location: 3620A Laird Rd suite 14, Mississauga, Ontario, L5L 6A8
Salary: $22.00 per hour; The gross salary is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Other benefits: None; Other than the Employer EI and CPP contributions
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 32-40 Hours per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Confirm and check pharmaceutical products and multi-dose medication strips prepared to ensure accuracy and completeness of all prescription orders prior to delivery
• Keep current with and apply knowledge of legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and procedures
• Inputting client information into database and maintaining till-date client records
• Adjudicating and billing third party claims for clients
• Assisting pharmacist in maintaining prescription records as per the regulation
• Dispensing medication for clients using different multi-dose automated machines
• Compounding different pharmaceutical products such as creams, ointments and oral liquid dosage forms

Education and Experience Requirements

• Minimum one-year experience as a pharmacy assistant or pharmacy technician is required
• Registration as a Pharmacy technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists is required
• A two- to three-year college program in pharmaceutics is required
