Specific Skills

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Load and unload goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Perform preventive maintenance

 

Transportation/Travel Experience

Local, National, Short-haul, Regional, Provincial/territorial

 

Type of Trucking and Equipment

Flatbed, Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)

 

Weight Handling

Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

 

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)

 

we will assist the driver to apply for Alberta Class 1 licence through Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT)

 

Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) will be an asset.
