Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
1 year to less than 2 years in the related field or training. CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate. Experience with participating in speech therapies in order to implement the set plan for the child, Experience participating in speech therapies is an asset.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in the related field or training
Security and Safety: Child welfare check, Child abuse registry check, Drug test, Medical exam, Criminal record check, Reference required
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Overtime required, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks
Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Experience with Special Needs Children: Children with learning disabilities
Specific Skills: Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Provide personal care, Plan therapeutic diets and menus, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Assist students to develop life skills
Target Audience: Persons with a disability, School age (6 – 12 years)
Technical or Specialized Editing: Speeches
Work Experience with Special Needs Students: Assistance with communication
