Job requirements Languages :English or French Education:Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years Security and Safety:Reference required Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available Work Location Information: Various locations Work in employer's/client's home, Room and board provided Work Site Environment Non-smoking Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player Additional Skills : Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens Children's Ages Kindergarten age (4 – 5 years), School age (6 – 12 years) Experience with Special Needs Children Children with asthma, Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD), Children with learning disabilities Specific Skills Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children, Help children with homework Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Work Setting Employer's home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
