My Thai Village Restaurant is hiring a full-time Cook to start immediately. We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years or more experience cooking Thai food who is hard-working, organized, creative, team player, passionate about food and customer service. Please see below for job details: Salary: $21 hourly for 40.0 hours per week Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Kanata West, Ontario (1 vacancy) Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-Time (Weekend, Day, Evening & Overtime) Cuisine Specialties: Thai Types of Meals/Food Prepared Lunches; Dinners; full course meals Number of positions: 1 Work Setting: Restaurant Languages: English Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Security and Safety Criminal record check Transportation/Travel Information Public transportation is available Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Attention to detail Specific Skills Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Manage kitchen operations Specializations: Stocks, soups and sauces, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and mushrooms, meat, poultry, fish Other Information: Must have experience in Fruits/Vegetables carving for plating; Must have experience in cooking Thai entrees, Thai soups, Thai desserts, and Thai curries; Must have experience cooking Thai food on a commercial Chinese wok.
