Live in Caregiver – Seniors

Description

One live-in Caregiver position in the County of Stugeon in rural Alberta providing personal care to one elderly adult male. 

Duties include shopping for food, sundries and medications, administering medications, laundering clothing and household linens, light housekeeping and cleaning duties, assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, provide personal care and companionship.  Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Driving the recipiente of care to appointments, etc.  Own vehicle required. Free parking and on-site amenities available.  Must be fluent in English.

Wage:  $19.10/ hr for 40 hours a week

Hours:  8 AM – 4:30 PM  Monday to Friday.

Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience of 3 years to less than 5 years required.  Criminal record check, Immunization check, Vulnerable sector check also required.  Applicant must be comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.  Physically demanding and repetitive tasks.  Accomodation provided,  Non-smoking and scent sensitive working environment.  Applicanat must be organized, have effective interpersonal skills, be dependable and flexible.  Must express initiative and possess excellent communication skills, be dependable and flexible.  Must express initiative and excellent communication skills, judgement and reliability.  A "client focus" is required for this position.  Must be able to handle weight between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
