First Cook (Korean Food Cook)

Sura Korean Cuisine is located at 1518 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC V6G 1C2. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time First Cook (Korean Food Cook). If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.

Position: First Cook
Wage: CAD$25.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay, Free meals at work

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook traditional Korean food items including Korean-BBQs, pancakes & rice cakes, stews & hot pots, set courses, salads & dumplings, rice & noodles, and other Korean dishes on the menus;
• Prepare special house sauces;
• Assist with chef in planning menus;
• Oversee kitchen operations;
• Train other staff with respect to food preparation.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience;
• Korean food cooking experience an asset.
