Child Caregiver (Nanny) – Private Home

Salary:
$13.02/Hour
(Overtime rate of $19.53/hour applicable if you work for more than 40 hours)

Terms of employment:
Full-Time, Permanent, Weekdays

Language:
Effective communication ability to speak, read and understand basic English

Employment requirements:
Completion of high school
At least 1 year experience

OR

Completion of a 6-months professional course in a related field
(On the job training would be provided to support you in successful and safe completion of the
job duties to be performed by you)

Job duties:
• Supervise and care for our child at our residence
• Prepare and serve meals to child
• Organize activities such as games and outing for the child
• Oversee child’s activities such as meals and rest periods
• Prepare light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child only
• Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents
• Child care predominantly before and after school and full days when out of school
• Maintain safe, healthy and hygienic environment for the child
• Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
• Help child with homework

Other
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Criminal record check
• Reference required
• Non-smoking work environment
• Public transportation is available
